FAQs

Which procedure should I do first? Lips pigmentation or Lips injection with filler?
The best results can be achieved if you have your lips injected first, then after 3 weeks, the lip pigmentation can be applied.
What type of pigment is used?
The Permanent lip colour pigment is from Phicontour and Swiss Color.
Is a touch-up appointment necessary?

Touch-up appointment within 6 to 8 weeks is necessary to implant pigment that may  have been lost during healing process. 

Is it painful?
Although most of my clients can tolerate the procedure, there is some discomfort during the procedure similar to the sensation of a scratchy feeling. Pre-anesthetic will be applied before and during the procedure for those with lower pain tolerance.
How can I maintain better colour retention?
Avoid direct sun exposure, apply lip balm daily with SPF, or add sunscreen.
How long will the lip pigment last ?

The lips skin is the hardest skin of the face area, therefore it has the best colour retention. For pigmented lips, the colour can stay for up to  3to 5 years until they start to fade. Booster touch up after 2 to 3 years is recommended to maintain of the color intensity

What preparation should I do before getting permanent makeup lips?
  • No excessive alcohol consumption the night before
  • If you take blood thinner medication, check with your doctor first to see if it’s possible to stop for a week to avoid excessive bleeding.
  • For those who carry cold sores and are planning to have permanent make up applied to the lips, please ask your doctor to prescribe Aciclovir, an antiviral medication. Please take 3 days before the procedure and then 3 days after the procedure.
